Alaska’s Newest Cruise Ship Port
Welcome to the real Alaska, you can still go downtown!
The Mill at Ward Cove is Alaska’s newest cruise ship port and will grow into a must-visit destination.
Although our development is new, we offer opportunities for adventurous shore excursions, connections with locals, and opportunities for learning. As you wait for your tour activity or the complimentary shuttle to downtown, stay warm and dry in the Welcome Center. When you return, step into the theater to learn more about the life of a true Alaskan, and try your hand at ax throwing, gold panning, or Sip & Paint with a local artist.
We also have diverse retail opportunities to fill your wish list, from artisan gifts to jackets and hats and even locally-made chocolate. Be sure to take a walk through the museum to learn more about the history of The Mill and for some locally caught seafood visit the Whistle Stop Restaurant. Enjoy a refreshing beverage while you listen to live music and soak in the view of your ship, just steps away.
As we develop our destination you will see more shore excursions, more restaurants, more retail options, and more opportunities for all to explore, learn and relax in the real Alaska.
Please Note: The Mill at Ward Cove is a cruise destination and may not be open every day. We strongly encourage our guests to book tours prior to arrival through their cruise line and for independent travelers to book through this website. We do offer day-of sales on ship days, see ship calendar.
